David Richard Anderson,age 84, of Adams, Minnesota, died on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home. David was born on June 13, 1939, to Albert and Olga Burnetta (Hanson) Anderson in Austin, Minnesota. He attended Adam’s High School. On August 14, 1960, David married Charlotte Marie Rosvold at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle, Minnesota. He worked as a farmer, milking cows and raising beef cattle. He also was a school bus driver for over 46 years, driving bus #13 alongside Charlotte in bus #11. He enjoyed fishing, especially trips up north and to Branson, Missouri, restoring antique tractors and tractor rides. David and Charlotte went to Norway for their 25th Anniversary. He loved animals and pets, especially his dog Buddy; he would even be found feeding him sandwiches and donuts.
David is survived by his wife Charlotte Anderson; four children, Brenda (Terry) Vrieze of Rochester, Scott (Rose Holmen) Anderson of Adams, Rev. Kristen Anderson of Austin and Kent (Linda) Anderson of Adams; seven grandchildren, Katie Anderson of Austin, Minnesota, Garrett Vrieze of Vancouver, Washington, Alex (Tasha) Anderson of Austin, Minnesota, Colin (Lynnelle) Vrieze of Rochester, Minnesota, Courtney Vrieze of Vancouver, Washington, Jacob Anderson of Mankato, and Brittany (Sam) Sackett of Rochester, Minnesota; five great-grandchildren, Sydney Lange of Austin, Jayden Vrieze of Rochester, Minnesota, Ezra Vrieze of Rochester, Minnesota, Oliver Vrieze of Rochester, Minnesota, and Dakota Sackett of Rochester and one on the way; brother, John Anderson of Adams; and grand dog Harley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Olga Anderson; sister, Beverly (John) Kohoutek and sister-in-law, Jeanine Anderson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. A private family service will be at a later time. Interment will be in Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery in Adams, Minnesota. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
