Grand Meadow woman injured in single-vehicle crash

A Grand Meadow woman was injured late Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle crash that involved alcohol.
Nikki Rae Heitland, 36, was injured at around 10:18 p.m. Wednesday according to the Minnesota State Patrol when the 2013 Chevy Impala she was driving eastbound on Highway 16 left the roadway and struck a powerline pole.
The crash took place near the Mower Fillmore road.
Heitland was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries. According to the report, alcohol was a factor.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Valley Ambulance and Mayo Ambulance responded.
