Julie M. Guckeen

Julie Marie (Munson) Guckeen was born January 14, 1961 to John “Jack” and Shirley (House) Munson in St. Paul, Minnesota. She grew up in Austin, Minnesota and graduated from Austin High School in 1979.

Julie married Richard “Dick” Guckeen on June 4, 1982. She worked for the Austin Daily Herald for 20 years in the Advertising Department. Julie enjoyed traveling with her husband or her girlfriends, including two trips to New York to see the Regis and Kathy Lee show.

Some will remember Julie from her cards and letters she loved to send. If you knew Julie you knew she was special. Hold those memories close.

Julie was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on March 29, 2024.

She is survived by her sister, Linda (Jeff) Mullenbach; step-son, Jeff Guckeen; brother-in-law, Richard (Jackie) Howard; sister-in-law, Joan Guckeen; nieces; nephews; great nieces; and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dick; father, John; mother, Shirley; sister, Cheryl; father-in-law, Lawrence “Cye” Guckeen; mother-in-law, Margaret Guckeen; and brother-in-law, Steve Guckeen.

A Celebration of Life and Reception for Julie will be held from 2-4 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary.
