We’re on the road again and its time to get out with friends and explore the beautiful season ahead of us. My flowering cactus are perking up and we should see lots of yellow color soon as it is a welcoming summer here in Minnesota.
On May 30-31 we are heading out for one of our favorite places to visit, namely Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The Fireside Dinner Theatre, which is rated one of the country’s top dinner theaters celebrating 60 years of Broadway productions in their theater in the round and memorable dining experience.
We will be seeing “Nunsense” on opening night and we will meet the cast.
We will be departing at 8:30 a.m. on May 30.
The trip will include the World’s Troll Capital in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin and the Oldbrichs Flower Gardens in Madison. We will return to Walmart’s parking lot at 6:30-7 p.m. on May 31.
June 12 is the Minnesota Twins versu the Colorado Rockies. We will load at 8:30 a.m. and depart at 9 a.m. from the Walmart parking lot. This trip is filled.
June 27: “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Marion Ross Theater in Albert Lea, directed by Austin’s Gordy Handeland. These shows are so well done in this quaint theater, which is often visited by Marion Ross herself. Our motorcoach departs at 4 p.m. There will be a special dinner prior to the show. We are returning directly after the show.
Plans are now available for our motorcoach trip to the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri on Sept. 17-20. This season’s schedule will be new with seven mostly country shows and the Showboat Branson Belle Dinner show. One of our meal destinations will be Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen.
Schedules are at the Mower County Senior Center for more and other trips planned with you in mind. Our season is available and early sign-ups are encouraged.
Extended Travel with Jan has a new schedule. First on is the trip to beautiful and scenic Colorado, featuring six scenic rail excursions and three national parks. The date is Aug. 16-24. You will be picked up with a motorcoach and taken to the Minneapolis Airport on Aug. 16 and returned Aug. 24 by coach. We could add a couple of seats if you are still considering this fabulous trip.
