Our Travelers made their first trip of 2024 as we headed to the Sidekick Theatre in Bloomington.
“The Fabulous Lipitones” was well received by our travelers and a home-style cooked dinner was raved by all, especially the desserts, which they said would be something grandma would make.
The theater is a small, charming and cozy one. The show was delightful with fabulous barbershop music. The theater will likely be on our list to visit again.
On May 30-31 its “Nunsense” playing at the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. This professional theater is special in that the theater is in the round and the cast rises up from the lower floor of the theater in a dramatic setting.
Nunsense is a spoof about the misadventures of five nuns working on all the special fundraisers. The dining area is a specially designed area with a buffet to coordinated with a theme. This dinner would be more than grandma could make and aways included is their signature sweet potato hot dish.
Following the show, we were invited to a special wine reception to meet the cast. On day two we will tour the Albrichs Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin.
We will be departing at 8 a.m. from Walmart. Waiting list only.
We have two dates set this season for the Minnesota Twins:
• June 12: Twins vs Colorado Rockies. Game is at 12:30 p.m. We depart at 9 a.m. Fee is due by May 28. Great seating and few seats remain.
• Aug. 14: Twins vs Kansas City Royals. Some seats remain. More information is available at our travel number, 1-507-438-3946.
Our Colorado Historic Trains and National Parks trip is on Aug. 16-24. Space is still available.
