Ronald L. Frazer, 59

Ronald Lee Frazer, 59, died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Ostrander nursing home with his wife and family by his side after a long battle with cancer.

Ron was born February 17, 1965 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Glen Sr. and Dorothy Frazer. While living in Waterloo, Ron enjoyed playing and fishing by the 11th Street bridge with his brothers. When Ron was 11 years old his family moved to rural LeRoy. Ron went to elementary, middle school and high school in LeRoy. After school, Ron joined the Minnesota National Guard where he served for 4 years. On May 9,1987 Ron married Kathy Jackson from Sioux City, Iowa. Their union was blessed with 4 children; Joshua, Krystal, Tiffany and Christopher.

Ron spent many years hauling and running large equipment for road construction. In recent years, he drove semi hauling grain or driving dump truck if needed. He enjoyed his many hours behind the wheel and was often seen with a big smile on his face as he’d drive by blowing his horn.

Ron enjoyed numerous fishing trips, camping, motorcycle rides and the occasional snowmobile trip. He truly enjoyed any activity that included his family and friends. Ron has always had a heart for children, and his greatest love was his grandchildren. He felt that time spent with his grandchildren was a blessing. Ron’s other girlfriend was his German shepherd, Bailey. She spent many hours riding in his pickup with him. On days when he wasn’t feeling well, she could be found next to him on the couch or with him on the bed keeping him warm.

Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy, his children Joshua Jackson of Rochester,MN, Tiffany (David) Gretillat of Elma, Iowa, Christopher (Brooke) Frazer of Riceville, Iowa and Jennifer Frazer of Hayfield, MN, his bounty of grandchildren Drew, Khloe, Chesney, Alyvia, Kinsley, Denver, Emma and Daia, his brothers Glen Jr. (Lori) of Wisconsin, John (Becky) of Iowa, Steve (Gena) of Indiana, and his sister Deb (Steve) Maxfield of Florida, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Ron, with his magnetic personality, also had a large following of friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his daughter Krystal Lynne and his parents Glen and Dorothy Frazer.

Funeral services for Ron will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at LeRoy Lutheran Church with Pastor Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will take place at LeRoy Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 at Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and will continue at the church from 10-11 a.m. Thursday morning.
