We are excited to announce the upcoming Austin Public School’s school board elections and invite you to consider running for a position. This is a wonderful opportunity to significantly impact our schools and help guide the future of education in our district.

As a school board member, you will:

• Influence important decisions affecting our schools;

• Advocate for the needs of students, teachers, and families;

• Collaborate with community members to improve educational outcomes; and

• Help shape policies and direction for the district.

We are seeking individuals who are:

• Dedicated to the success of all students;

• Willing to engage with the community and consider diverse perspectives;

• Ready to work cooperatively with fellow board members and school staff; and

• Passionate about education and prepared to commit time and effort.

If you are interested in making a difference, we encourage you to run for the school board. To learn more, please consider attending an informational meeting on of these dates:

• July 8: 7:30 a.m. at the Coffee House On Main at 329 Main St N, Austin, MN 55912.

• July 9: 3:30 p.m. in the District Office Board Room at 401 3rd Avenue NW, Austin, MN 55912 – enter through door three.

• July 18: 3:30 p.m. in the District Office Board Room.

School Board Chair Carolyn Dubé and Superintendent Joey Page will cover the roles and responsibilities of board members, the election process, and how you can get involved with the Austin Public Schools. There is no requirement to attend an informational meeting.
