Austin VFW scores District Tournament win over Cannon Falls, 10-2

The Austin VFW baseball team got a big-time performance from Noah Dunlap Sunday in a District Tournament game against Cannon Falls.
Dunlap struck out 11 batters in five innings for work as Austin gained the 10-2 win. Dunlap allowed just three hits and two runs from his time on the mound.
Austin scored in the first five innings of the game, with Benton Purkapile and Dylan Wencl both scoring in the first inning to get the runs rolling with a 2-0 lead.
A sacrifice fly By Jonah Klein in the second inning and another by Wencl in the fourth pushed the lead to 4-0.
With another two runs in the fourth and four in the fifth, Austin was able to put the game out of reach, surrendering just two runs to Cannon Falls in the fifth inning.
Austin also recorded 10 stolen bases.
