An Austin grad has joined the office of Sen. Tina Smith.
Following an internship with Smith’s office, Brock Lawhead has been hired as Smith’s press aid.
Lawhead graduated from Austin High School with high distinction, served as president of the National Honor Society, and was the first Austin student to receive at the state level the prestigious AAA Award for excellence in the Arts, Athletics, and Academics.
Lawhead attended St. Olaf College, and graduated magna cum laude. He was also St. Olaf College’s nominee for Rhodes Scholar, was named All-MIAC Academic and served as president of the St. Olaf College Democrats.
