The Austin School Board held a special meeting on 6/24/24 in the District Office Conf Room, 401 Third Ave NW in Austin. Chair Dube called meeting to order at 4 pm. Members present Carolyn Dube, Kathy Green, Cece Kroc, Don Leathers (5:17 pm), Carol McAlister, and Peggy Young. Evan Sorenson absent.
Green/Young approval of agenda, 5-0
Kroc/Green approval of FY25 Adopted Budget, 5-0
McAlister/Young approval of FY26 Long-term Facilities Maintenance Ten-Year Plan, 5-0
Green/Young approval of 2024-25 School Resource Officers’ contract, 5-0
Kroc/McAlister approval of revised policy 521 and form, 5-0
Gail Gillman from MN School Boards Assoc reviewed results of the board’s self-evaluation. The results will be used during upcoming goal setting retreat.
Board member Kathy Green announced her resignation effective 12.31.24. The board will discuss how to fill the remaining two years of her term.
