Treena Edine Perzynski, age 52, passed away on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 in Austin, MN. She was born on March 11th, 1972, in Osage, IA, to Edward and Elizabeth Perzynski. She graduated from Riceville High School in 1990, after which she attended Spencer School of Business in IA. She married Brad Speer in Chester, IA; they were later divorced. She spent ten years with a special friend Gary Boynton.
Treena, “Treena-Beans”, was an outgoing woman who made friends everywhere she went. She was a valued employee during her time at Sears, Kwik Trip, and Ankeny’s. She loved her family more than anything, especially her many nieces & nephews. She held a special spot in her heart for her Goddaughters, Stephanie, Dakota, and Anyka. Over the years she enjoyed various outdoor passions like riding horses and her side by side.
She had significant struggles after the loss of her mother and loss of her sister, Beth. She re-found her faith during her time at MN Adult & Teen Challenge, which she re-affirmed through a full water baptism at Cornerstone Church. Treena’s favorite phrase was, “I don’t need anything because I have the Lord!” after she was baptized. Her faith in God was at the forefront of her life and she wanted to be an encouragement to others.
She is survived by her siblings Bonnie (Ron) Perzynski, Ted (Cherie) Perzynski, Donella (Bruce) Hastings, Brian (Darla) Perzynski, Jared (Lindsey) Perzynski, several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Beth Dohlman, her brother-in-law Lynn Dohlman; her nephew Thomas Perzynski, and niece Courtney Dohlman.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 29th at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Church in Austin, MN. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am prior to the service. There will be a luncheon to follow. Burial will be at Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Stacyville, IA at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
Treena was loved by so many, and her legacy will live on in the lives of everyone she touched. Online condolences may be left at Hindtfuneralhomes.com
