An Adams Legionanaire and former commander of the Minnesota American Legion was elected national vice commander of the nation’s largest veterans organization during its national convention in New Orleans Thursday.
James Kellogg, a member of American Legion Post 146 in Adams, is one of five national vice commanders elected this year by American Legion delegates from around the world.
Kellogg served as an aircraft radio repairman in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973. Kellogg is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and serves on his county’s Soil and Water Conservation Board.
