In last Saturday’s edition of the Austin Daily Herald, our editorial discussed the continued advantages of the Austin Assurance Program in the wake of the State of Minnesota’s student grant issues.
However, in the qualifications, it was incorrectly listed that a student must meet all of the requirements listed when in reality, along with a student needing to document 50 volunteer hours in the community and be enrolled in an approved program of study and be in good standing at Riverland College, a student must meet just one of the following requirements:
• Earn a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher
• Pass all courses with a GPA of 2.0 or higher in their junior and senior year of high school
• ACT composite score of 18 or higher
• ASVAB score of 31 or higher
• Successfully complete the Be Your Best College Prep Summer Academy at Riverland
