Alumni update: Austin’s Guy, Southland’s Schmitz and BP’s Hagen are making plays at the college level

Multiple area grads are already making contributions on the gridiron at the college level this Fall.
Austin grad Manny Guy registered three catches for 14 yards for the University of Minnesota-Morris football team in a 17-16 win over Macalester College recently.
Austin grad Tommy Fritz has emerged as an offensive threat at Dordt College as he ran for 72 yards on nine carries in a season opening 38-20 win over Midland.
Southland grad Carter Schmitz had three tackles for Southwest Minnesota State University in a season opening 42-9 loss to Minot State.
Blooming Prairie grad Gabe Hagen has two catches for 138 yards and one score in two games for Minnesota State University-Mankato (2-0 overall) this season.
LeRoy-Ostrander grad Gavin Sweeney has four tackles and one tackle for a loss in two games this season at Upper Iowa University (1-1 overall).
Grand Meadow grads Luke Speer and Evan Oehlke are both playing football at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Oehlke has one tackle and one pass defensed for the Falcons (1-0 overall).
