The Austin volleyball team recovered from a slow start to beat Rochester John Marshall 17-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-16 in Packer Gym Thursday.
Quinn Osgood hammered down 12 kills for the Packers (4-4 overall) and Isabella Bolster added 10 kills.
“After that set we made some goals on how to fix our errors and had a discussion about starting fresh and it really helped,” Austin head coach Nichelle Guillaume said. “The girls became more confident and pulled together as a team as the night went on. Both Quinn and Addi (Walsh) had great games for us, their aces happened at the perfect time and they did a great job reading the ball. I’m really proud of how much every single player on this team has grown from our first game to tonight.”
Austin stats: Elizabeth Clennon, 15 set assists; Haleigh Holman, 10 set assists; Quinn Osgood, 12 kills, 9 aces; Isabella Bolster, 10 kills; Addison Walsh, 16 digs, 5 aces
