Three injured in two-car crash in Brownsdale

Three people — two of which were from Hayfield — were injured late Wednesday morning resulting from a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 56 and Main Street, Brownsdale.

At around 10:48 a.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by Geniva Christina Alers, 31, collided with a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 52-year-old Dana Elise Nordin of Golden Valley.

Nordin was traveling west on Main Street while Alers was southbound on highway 56.

Both were taken to Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Austin with non-life threatening injuries. A two-year-old female passenger in the Yukon was also transported to MCHS-Austin for non-life threatening injuries. Two other children in Yukon, were uninjured. Both were under the age of one.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Ambulance and Brownsdale Fire and Rescue responded.
