On Tuesday morning, members of the Austin Bruins stopped by Austin High School to play floor hockey with the Unified PE classes. Unified PE brings students with special needs together with general education students to allow for a more immersive PE experience. This allows the general education students to act as mentors and friends to their special needs counterparts. The program is a big part of why AHS was recognized as a Special Olympics Minnesota Unified Champion school.
