The Austin School Board held a special meeting on 9/23/24 in the District Office Conf Room, 401 Third Ave NW in Austin. Chair Dube called meeting to order at 4 pm. Members present Carolyn Dube, Cece Kroc, Don Leathers (4:14 pm), Carol McAlister, and Evan Sorenson. Kathy Green and Peggy Young absent. McAlister appointed clerk for this meeting.
Kroc/Sorenson approval of agenda, 4-0
Sorenson/McAlister approval of tax abatement request from Hteet La Powl (PIN 4.468.0170), 4-0
Kroc/Sorenson approval of tax abatement request from New Horizon Homes (PIN 34.468.0040), 4-0
KrocMcAlister to certify the 2024 pay 2025 proposed tax levy at the maximum. Final levy approved at 12/9/24 meeting following 6 pm Truth in Taxation hearing, 4-0
Discussion held on school board goal.
Kroc/McAlister to adjourn at 4:34 pm, 5-0
