Nellie Wynia, 87

Nellie Wynia, age 87, of Austin, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society.

Nellie was born on August 19, 1937 in France. She was a 1955 graduate of Albert Lea High School. On February 18, 1956 she married James “Bud” Wynia and they raised three children. They moved to the farm near Moscow, Minnesota in March 1968 where they milked cows and crop farmed.

Nellie was an avid gardener and also worked as a home health aide for over 25 years.

Survivors include her daughters, Arla Langmaark, Albert Lea, Minnesota, Nancy (Salah) Jarrad, Loveland, Colorado; her son, Dale Wynia and his partner, Gina Lundberg, Austin, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arie and Pietje Groeneweg; her husband, James; her son-in-law, Jeff Langmaark; her granddaughter, Natania Jarrad.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery in Oakland and a celebration of life for Nellie will be held from 12 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Moscow Town Hall. Arrangements by Clasen-Jordan Mortuary
