Sandra Lickteig, 72

September 9, 1952 – October 12, 2024

Sandra Lee Lickteig (Regenscheid) age 72, of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota died on Saturday, October 12th of natural causes.

Sandy was born on September 9, 1952, in Oceanside, California to Milo and Geraldine Regenscheid. As a child with a father in the Navy, they lived several different places before settling in Austin, Minnesota.

Sandy went to Austin High School and after school, she worked at the Oak Leaf restaurant. This is where she met Richard Lickteig and started dating him. Later they married and their union brought their only child Jennifer. Sandy loved her daughter like no other. Later Sandy and Richard were divorced. Sandy worked at various jobs until she moved to Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. Where she spent her time helping various elderly people. Sandy loved working with elderly people and hearing their life stories.

Sandy was a lover of animals, especially her dogs and two of her favorite dogs were named Cinnamon and Harley.

A big impact on Sandy’s life was her grandchildren. She loved them so much and loved to have fun and sing and play with them. Sandy enjoyed music and friends and loved a good laugh. She will be missed by many.

Sandy is preceded in death by her father Milo Regenscheid.

Sandy leaves behind her daughter Jennifer (Jim) Bastyr along with her four grandchildren Brynn, Bridget, JJ and Jase Bastyr of Austin, Minnesota. She also leaves her mother, Geraldine Regenscheid also of Austin, and brother Dennis (Liz) Regenscheid of Houston, Texas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Any donations should be made to a local Humane Society.
