The LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle-Pacelli football team will take on an undefeated opponent when it squares off against Fertile-Beltrami in a Minnesota State Football Class Nine Man State Tournament quarterfinal in US Bank Stadium at 4 p.m. Thursday.

The Cardinals are coming off a 50-0 win over Renville County West and F-B (11-0 overall) beat Cromwell-Wright Area 48-7 in the state quarterfinals.

Last season, F-B lost to Kingsland 38-26 in the state semifinals.

The Cardinals (12-0 overall) have a QRF ranking of No. 5 and they have outscored their opponents on average of 51.2-17.2 points per game. F-B is ranked No. 2 in QRF and it has outscored opponents 54.1 to 11.6 points per game.
