Beverley “Bev” D. Peck, 95

Beverley “Bev” D. Peck, age 95, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 22, 2024, in Austin. Beverley Darleen Scheffel was born on August 2, 1929, in Austin, Minnesota, to Roy and Julia (Dvorak) Scheffel. She grew up on a farm near London and attended grade school in London. During her high school years, Bev stayed in Austin with one of her cousins and his family and graduated from Austin High School in 1948. Following graduation, Bev worked at Hormel Foods for over 30 years. On October 15, 1949, Beverley was united in marriage to Peter John Peck Jr. in Glenville, Minnesota. They were blessed with four children – Steven, Larry, Deborah, and John. Bev was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending holidays with family, doing ceramics, quilting, and trips to the casino. Bev loved her lake trips to northern Minnesota, RVing with family, and winters she spent with Peter in Texas. Most of all she cherished the endless hours playing board games and putting together puzzles with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the family historian and enjoyed sharing her countless stories over the years. Bev dearly missed her husband after their 61 years of marriage, and we find peace in knowing they are united together once again.

Beverley is survived by her sons, Steven (Jan) Peck of Lincoln, Nebraska, Larry (Debbie) Peck of Austin, and John (Jill) Peck of Ankeny, Iowa; daughter, Deborah (Terry) Hughes of Austin; grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Cole, Courtney, Stephanie, Angie, Amy, Jacob, and Ryan; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; daughter-in-law, Linda Peck; grandson, Bryan “B.T.” Peck; and one sister, Marlys Fohrman.

Bev’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Mayo Hospice, especially Sarah, Azalea, Michelle, Mary, Anna, and Marissa, for the wonderful care they gave to our mom.

The funeral service for Beverley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Austin VFW Post 1216 or Mayo Hospice. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
