Holidays are typically a joyful time filled with celebrations, gatherings, merriment, and joy. However, these special days can also be stressful and emotional when a loved one dies.
To help during these holidays and special days, Mayo Clinic Hospice will honor those who died with the Hospice Set Memories Aglow cascade of lights at the following campuses: Albert Lea, Austin, Red Wing, and Rochester. The trees, located in front of each facility, will be illuminated from Dec. 2 through Jan. 6, 2025.
“Although the holidays can be a painful time after a loved one dies, they can also be a time to cherish fond memories and traditions,” says ReNae Meaney, R.N., Hospice Nurse Supervisor.
Hospitals with displays can be found at the following locations:
Mayo Clinic Health System – Albert Lea
404 West Fountain Street
Albert Lea, MN 56007
Mayo Clinic Health System – Austin
1000 First Drive NW
Austin, MN 55912

Red Wing, MN 55066

“We encourage everyone to drive by anytime and view the lights as a tribute to those they love and miss this holiday season. This can help those grieving start a new tradition,” Meaney said.
