Thumbs up for a successful season. Even though its run for state title came up on the losing end in the semifinals, congratulations is still in order for the LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle-Pacelli Cardinals on a successful season. In a first-ever combination of the programs, the consolidated effort showed how success can be gained through hard work.
Thumbs up for our swimmer and divers. Likewise, it was also another successful season for our returning athletes on the Austin swimming and dive team. While we wrote this before getting a clear understanding of how our athletes finally did, we congratulate them all the same. No matter how things come out in the end, they are still among the best in the state of Minnesota.
Thumbs up for holiday traditions. The Hormel Historic Home is getting ready to open its doors to holiday fun and remains one of the best hosts in our area when it comes to making sure those in our area can celebrate the season in style.
Thumbs up to the county’s continuing work on broadband. On Tuesday, the Mower County Board of Commissioners okayed contributing to a project by Spectrum that will expand broadband access in the county, taking yet another step in making sure the county has proper broadband coverage to meet the diverse needs of Mower’s citizens.
Thumbs up to veterans. Pacelli Catholic Schools along with other area groups and programs once again successfully celebrated veterans this Veterans Day, putting their best foot forward to ensure that those who sacrifice to serve are not forgotten and that the day remains one of our most important holidays.
