Austin Area Arts has announced its series of free ArtRocks Open Jams for the winter/spring season.
The public is invited for these unique music events which build a bridge for talented music lovers to step on stage and become performing musicians.
The Austin ArtWorks Center gallery hosts a house band and wine/beer bar. Patrons are encouraged to bring neighbors, friends, and family of all ages to come enjoy the music or plan to sing your own song.
Upcoming 2025 dates are Jan. 16, Feb. 20, March 20, and April 17. Jams begin at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Performers are allowed to present one song with an opportunity for additional songs if time allows. Sign up to perform in advance at www.austinareaarts.org or take advantage of a limited number of walk-up spots each month. By submitting your sign up, you allow the house band to prepare your music and you will be guaranteed a spot.
Jams are free for the public to attend and to perform. Austin Area Arts is committed to paying the musicians in the house band, a professional sound tech and an emcee. If you are able to support the jams in any amount, free will donations are always welcome.
