George A. Teats, 86

George Alfred Teats, age 86, of West St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home. George was born January 22, 1938, in Butte, Montana, to Cleo and Caroline (Grovo) Teats. He attended Burr Oak Grade School, Austin High School, Austin Junior College, and Lea College. George enlisted in the United States Army in 1958 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in March of 1961. George married Lucille Hansen on February 3, 1963, in Lansing, Minnesota and together had two children. George worked full time while completing four years of college on a GI Bill. George was a truck driver while he was employed by Elk River Concrete from 1956 to 1973 and as an auditor collector with the Department of Revenue from 1974 until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time at The Terp Ballroom.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Teats of West St. Paul, Minnesota; children, Mark (Brenda) Teats of Eagan, Minnesota, and Angela (Patrick) Teats of West St. Paul, Minnesota; one grandson, Morgan Teats, of Eagan, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Caroline Teats; sisters, Joann Williams and Norma Lange; and brother, Phillip (Hank) Teats.

A funeral service for George will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
