Jon Lee Nelson, 82

Jon Lee Nelson, at 82 years old, peacefully passed away next to the fireplace in his favorite sitting room and a brightly lit Christmas tree on November 26th.

Jon was born in Redwood Falls, MN on April 17, 1942. He graduated from high school in Austin, MN. He married his high school sweetheart and had two daughters. Jon loved the outdoors, traveling, fishing, music and working on his classic 1957 Chevy. Mostly, Jon loved spending time with his family.

Jon was preceded in death by John and Jean Nelson (mother and father) and Kirk Nelson (brother). He is survived by his 2 daughters Stacey (John), Shauna (Lauren); 4 grandchildren Anna (James), Jake (Natalie), Mitch, Nick; 3 great grandchildren, Elijah, Shae, Colt; and 3 sisters Janice, Hjordis (Jim), Pam (Ken).

A celebration of life for Jon will be held at 2:00 pm on December 22, 2024 in the chapel at Minnetonka Presbyterian Homes @ 4515 Shoreline Dr, Spring Park, MN 55384.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations are given to the American Diabetes Association.
