Lorraine Catherine Mandler, 88, of Adams, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Hospitals, Methodist Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.
Lorraine was born December 15, 1935 in Adams Township, Minnesota to Ernest and Leona (May) Mullenbach. She grew up on a farm near Johnsburg, Minnesota where she may have developed her passion for gardening, and caring for vegetables, flowers, and plants. She was united in marriage to Aaron Mandler on May 7, 1955 in Johnsburg and together they raised their children. Lorraine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Lorraine taught her family the importance of faith, empathy, tenderness and hard work. She nurtured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and taught them how to sew, quilt, knit, crochet and garden. She patiently listened to all of their stories and played their silly made up games.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aaron; son, Donald; and granddaughter, Ashley.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Carol (Steve) Weber of Mankato, MN, Brian (Karen) Mandler of Rochester, MN, David (Joan) Mandler of Gulf Shores, AL, Ann (Curt) Oudekirk, of Elkton, MN, Bruce (April Kalis) Mandler of Wells, MN and Richard (Tammy) Mandler of Wells, MN; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 7th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father James Berning officiating. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and at the Adams Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
