A house fire on Sunday has displaced a pair of people and two dogs.

Fire Chief Jim McCoy said Monday that that fire occurred at around 10:35 a.m. in the 1500 block of 10th Street NW. Nobody was home at the time of the fire and the Red Cross is assisting.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.

Damage estimate from the fire has come in at around $45,000.
