Alla L. Classon, 89

Alla Lee Classon, age 89, of Rose Creek, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society – Comforcare in Austin. Alla Lee Cook was born on March 8, 1935, in Winnebago, Minnesota, to Merritt and Edythe (Royce) Cook. She spent her childhood years in the Austin area and graduated from Austin High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Howard K. Classon at Crane Community Chapel on February 8, 1953. Together they cherished over 65 years of marriage and raised five children in the Rose Creek area. Alla was a devoted homemaker and worked at Smythe Printing Company from 1983 until her retirement in 2000. Alla was a longtime member of Crane Community Chapel where she was active in Ladies Missionary. She enjoyed camping, loved to travel, and was an excellent cook and baker; her family especially enjoyed her cookies, brownies, and angel food cake. Above all, family was most important to Alla. She did so much for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and took great pride in each of them. She will be greatly missed.

Alla is survived by her children, Donald Classon of Rose Creek, Minnesota, Debra Cooper of Rochester, Minnesota, Keith Classon of Rose Creek, Minnesota, Kathy (Kevin) Eissinger of Lyle, Minnesota, and Donna Classon of Lansing, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Marcus (Marissa), Mariah (Mason), Noah and Isaac (Madison); great-grandchildren, Hudson and Ashlynn; and sister, Virginia Benson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents, Merritt and Edythe Cook; two sisters; and two brothers.

The funeral service for Alla will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Crane Community Chapel in Austin, Minnesota. The visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Rose Creek Enterprise Cemetery, rural Austin, Minnesota. Memorials are preferred to Crane Community Chapel.
