The National Weather Service will be placing the area into a cold weather advisory starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday night and stretching through to noon on Jan. 19.

Wind chills are expected to dip to as low as 25-35 degrees during the worst of the cold snap, temperatures that could quickly cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

Winds themselves are expected to get as high as 15 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph possible.
