The State Fire Marshal is investigating a garage fire that took place late Tuesday morning in Austin.
Austin Fire Chief Jim McCoy said Austin firefighters were dispatched at around 11:55 ap.m. Tuesday to a home in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue NW for a report of the garage on fire, called in by the owner of the home who was home at the time.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
McCoy estimated damages to be around $30,000 with minor damage to a nearby truck.
Nobody was injured.
It’s the second blaze this week that the Fire Marshal has investigated. The office is currently looking into the cause of a fire Sunday morning that caused around $45,000 damage and displaced two people and a pair of dogs.
No cause of that fire has been determined.
