Paul W. Reul, 82

Paul William Reul, age 82, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus. He was born on August 27, 1942, in Austin, Minnesota, to La Verne and Margaret (Remington) Reul. Paul graduated from Rock Falls Township High School in Illinois in 1960, he then continued his education at Austin Junior College receiving his Associate of Arts in 1962. Following his graduation, he attended Mankato State University and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in History and Geography and minoring in Biology. In 1965, Paul proudly joined the United States Air Force and served our country until 1971 when he was honorably discharged. On July 5, 1974, he married the love of his life, Judy Petersen. Paul worked in the vending business – Star Music and Vending Canteen of Minnesota for 20 years. He then began a second career in custodial work, working for Austin Community College where he retired in 2005. He was a member of the American Legion, and The Eagles Club of Austin. Paul enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family.

Paul is survived by his sisters, Gloria Reul, and Ardy Reul; and brothers, Dean (Mary) Reul, and David (Kage) Reul; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Reul; his parents, La Verne and Margaret Reul; sisters, Denise Unger, and Susan Childs; and brothers, Larry Reul, Mark Reul, Richard Reul, Keith Reul, Steven Reul, and Terry Walker.

A funeral service for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Austin, Minnesota. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. A light luncheon will be served after the conclusion of the service. Interment for Paul will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Services are prearranged and performed by Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
