The Southland boys basketball team grabbed its eighth straight win when it topped Spring Grove (3-6 overall) 64-51 in Spring Grove Friday.

Tate Goergen paced the Rebels (8-0 overall) with 20 points.

It has been at least two decades since the Rebels have won their first eight games of the season. The last time Southland won its first seven games was in the 2012-2013 season, where they finished 20-8 overall.
