The Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy girls basketball team started out strong as it defeated Randolph (4-6 overall) 60-33 in Randolph Tuesday.
The Vikings (7-4 overall) opened the game on an 11-0 run as they cruised to victory.
““The girls looked tremendous defensively tonight,” HSA head coach Kasey Krekling said. “We want everyone to buy-in to a defensive identity and we are starting to execute nicely on the defensive end. We still need to clean up some things offensively, but I’m very happy with our effort tonight.”
HSA scoring: Lily Morrissey, 16; Jenna Christopherson, 15; Betsy Gillette, 9; Maggie Hansen, 5; Frieda Ruiz, 5; Sophia Gommels, 5; Avi Alexander, 3; Maddie Buehler, 2
