The Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy girls basketball team bounced back from a 12-point halftime deficit to beat Fillmore Central (10-10 overall) 64-57 in Hayfield Thursday.

Lily Morrisey led the Vikings (9-8 overall) with 21 points.

HSA trailed 35-23 at halftime.

“With a bunch of sickness going through our program, we looked very lethargic and slow in the first half,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said. “Adjustments were made at halftime and the girls dug deep to put in a very good second half performance. I am very proud of our second half effort and happy to get a win against a scrappy Fillmore Central team.”
