The Austin girls hockey team ended its regular season on a high note when it beat Winona (12-12 overall) 4-2 in Winona Saturday.
Lilly Haedt stopped 49 shots in net for the Packers (5-19-1 overall) and Sadie Coddington, Jamey Bastyr, Lauren Bowe and Alexcia Austin all scored one goal.
“The girls played a fantastic game today,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “It’s exciting to see all their hard work pay off as they came together as a team and we look to the future.”
The Packers lost to Winona 6-1 on Jan. 9.
Austin will begin postseason play on Wednesday.
