Sterling State Bank in Austin will celebrate the completion of their renovation project with an open house from Tuesday, Sept. 24 to Friday, Sept. 27.

All week, people will be able to enter a drawing for a 36-inch color TV or to win gifts just for coming into the bank. Deborah Uecker, bank president, says there also will be a treasure chest at the bank and people will receive keys in their mailboxes that they can use to try to open the trunk for more prizes.

Food catered by Lansing Corners will be available all week for anyone stopping by the bank.

Thursday, the bank will host a kid's day, starting at 10 a.m., which will feature all sorts of fun activities for children. Kids will be able to ride a train on the street in front of the bank, marionette shows will take place at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., and a magician will perform all day.

And of course, there will be lots of food for the kids.

For Uecker, this is the best way to celebrate the building's renovation. "We wanted to celebrate our new building with our customers," she said. "It's like our slogan, 'we welcome everyone home' … to our new look.

"It's gonna be a big week, but it will be a lot of fun."
