Gordon M. Wolff, 75
Gordon M. Wolff, 75, of Adams, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, in Rose Creek.
He was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Morse and Katie (Smalley) Wolff.
On Jan. 31, 1950, he married Delores Hofland in Rose Creek.
Gordon was a farmer near Adams.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sally Wolff, Hibbing; Ronald and Kathie Wolff, Minnetonka; Bradley and Theresa Wolff, Grand Meadow; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Roland Stoll, Mankato; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife on Aug. 9, 1992.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Service: Noon, Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at the funeral home with Father Ruben Spinler officiating.
Interment: St. Peter's Cemetery, Rose Creek.

Lottie M. Schmidt, 95
Lottie Marie Schmidt, 95, of Wykoff, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at the Spring Valley Care Center.
She was born June 25, 1907, in Fillmore County, to Frank and Lillian (Sabatke) Raabe. She was baptized Aug. 4, 1907, and confirmed March 20, 1921, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wykoff.
She attended rural school district 76 and Wykoff town school. She was a player on the girls basketball team.
On May 19, 1926, she married William Schmidt in Wykoff.
The couple farmed and lived in the Fountain area and moved to Wykoff in 1972. William died Dec. 1, 1990. In December 1999, Lottie moved to the Spring Valley Care Center.
She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wykoff and was active in the women's activities. She was also a member of the Wykoff Senior Citizens.
She enjoyed baking, gardening, writing letters, reading and spending time with family. During the early years of marriage, she provided room and board
to rural school teachers.
Survivors include sons, Raymond (Betty) Schmidt, Fountain; Marvin (Coleen) Schmidt, Rochester; daughters, Marjorie (George) Baier, Chatfield; Bernice (Paul) Stender, Blooming Prairie; Charlotte Tammel, Garnavillo, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Marzolf.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Irwin Raabe; sister, Frances Crowson; and an infant grandchild.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, and Thursday for one hour before the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m., Thursday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jerry Crow officiating.
Interment: In the church cemetery.

Sharon L. Baldwin, 65
Sharon L. Baldwin, 65, of rural St. Ansgar, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Hospice Unit, Osage.
She was born Jan. 4, 1937, near Johnsburg, to Joseph and Loretta (Pittman) Krebsbach.
On June 19, 1958, she married Sidney R. Baldwin in Austin.
Survivors include husband, Sidney Baldwin, rural St. Ansgar, Iowa; sons, Bret Baldwin, St. Paul; Kipp (Leticia) Baldwin, Bloomington; one granddaughter; mother, Loretta Krebsbach, Stacyville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Wayne Krebsbach; children, Traeg and Kay Cid.
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m., today, Sept. 3, 2002, at the church with a 6 p.m. Scripture Service and Wednesday for one hour before the service at the church.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church in St. Ansgar with the Fr. Mark Reasoner officiating.
Interment: Private interment services in Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
