Queen of Angels and St. Augustine Catholic School choirs are preparing for the Sunday "Dessert Show."

Directed by Jane Koch, the students have enjoyed another year of music excellence. The choirs include the Clovers, third and fourth grade students at St. Augustine – St. Edward Catholic School; and the Boys,

Girls and Mixed choirs all from Queen of Angels Catholic School.

On May 18, the Queen's choirs performed in competition at a music festival.

The Boys and Girls choirs placed first with "Superior" ratings. The Mixed choir also placed first and earned a "Superior" rating as well as the judges' choice award for outstanding choir in the festival.

"That last award is really great," said Koch, "because we were the only middle school competing. All the other choirs were high school choirs."
