Susan Marie Burnich & Hans Willard Hinrichs

William and Katherine Burnich of Hudson, Ohio and Ted and Shirley Hinrichs of Austin are happy to announce the engagement of their children, Susan Marie Burnich and Hans Willard Hinrichs.

Susan is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in marketing. She is employed as an associate brand manager at General Mills in Minneapolis.

Hans graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1996 with a degree in economics. He is employed as a Managing Director with Stonebridge Associates in Minnetonka.

A July 6, 2002 wedding will take place at the Hudson, Ohio Presbyterian Church.

The parents of Melissa Sue Shaffer and Daniel Reid Armagost, Jr., both of Austin, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children. Melissa is the daughter of Janet and Douglas Shaffer of George, Iowa and Daniel is the son of Linda and Daniel Armagost of Austin.

Melissa is a 1998 graduate of Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington, a 2001 graduate of Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Graphic Design and Computer Science. She is employed with Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a Computer Analyst/Programmer.

Daniel is a 2000 graduate of Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. He is employed with Southland Schools of Adams and Rose Creek as an EBD teacher

The couple will be married Sept. 7, 2002, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Austin.

Laura is the daughter of Robert and Nancy Cooley of Boston, Mass. and Jared is the son of Craig and Jane Johnson of Austin.

Laura, a graduate of Boston Latin School and Harvard University, will complete her MBA from the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University on May 24, 2002. She has accepted a position in the human resources department at General Mills in Minneapolis.

Jared graduated from Austin High School, received a BA from Cornell University, served four years as a United States Naval officer, and earned an MBA from the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University. He is a senior marketing analyst at 3M.

A June 1, 2002, wedding will take place at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Ithaca, N.Y., with a reception at Logan Ridge Estates on Lake Seneca, N.Y.
