Dancing feet are going to be around the Austin area this weekend, as the Riverland Community College plays host to the musical &uot;Footloose.&uot;

The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Frank W. Bridges Theatre, East Building, at the Austin campus.

Tickets are $9 and are available at Nemitz’s and the Riverland Box Office. For information, call 433-0595.

With the abundance of hunting opportunities, now’s a good time to sharpen your safety skills in handling firearms.

Saturday will be the Austin Area Firearms Safety Training Spring Program. For information on the event, call Ken Schaub at 433-5992.

Saturday, there will be a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Austin Public Library. for those wanting to donate books, please drop off your donation during the library’s regular business hours. For information, call 433-2391.

And at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the Northwestern Singers will present its &uot;Show Stoppers&uot; spring concert at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets are $7 in advance and are available at Nemitz’s, Main Street and through any Northwestern Singer.

Tickets will also be available at the door for $8.
