Amy Bickler allowed Spring Grove/Caledonia to put the ball in play, and her defense -- despite seven errors -- helped her to surrender only one run in a Southeast Conference softball sweep Tuesday night at Todd Park.

L/P posted wins of 4-0 and 9-1, relying as much on SG/C's defense as they did their own. The Lions' six total errors proved more costly.

Bickler led the bats with two hits in the opener, while Louise Mudra and Kate Boisjolie had three hits each in the nightcap. Susie Rayman added a pair of singles in the second game. The Lyle/Pacelli offense started game two with seven consecutive hits.

L/P (9-1, 9-1) next plays Thursday at Fillmore Central/Lanesboro.
