Roy W. Personius, 80

Roy William Personius, 80, of Carthage, Mo., died Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at Carthage Health and Rehab Center, Carthage, Mo.

He was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Fairmont, to William and Freda (Brinkman) Personius.

He was a printer by trade in Rochester, retiring in 1983 and moving to Carthage in 1993. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

On Feb. 14, 1994, he married Lola Haffner in Adrian, Mo.

He was of the Lutheran faith and served as post commander of the VFW in Austin.

Survivors include wife, Lola, Carthage, Mo.; son, Tony Personius, Tekamah, Neb.; daughters, Mary Bohlander, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Cheryl Arredondo, Friendswood, Texas; Lori Kennedy, Aurora, Colo.; Terri Personius, Austin; step-sons, Dennis &uot;Bud&uot; Haffner, Carthage, Mo.; Michael "Mick" Haffner, Carthage, Mo.; David Haffner, Carthage, Mo.; Don Milks, Austin; Ron Milks, Austin; Bryan Milks, Rochester; several grandchildren; brother, Will Personius, Grain Valley; sisters, Edna Kipfer, Bingham Lake; Lorene Johnson, Rosemont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Interment: 2 p.m. graveside service, today, April 26, 2002, in Park Cemetery in Carthage, Mo. with Minister Bob Lyttle officiating.
