The Packer girls' track team brought home a pair of firsts from the Blue Earth Area Invitational over the weekend.

Senior thrower Renee Ludwig continued her strong season with another first-place effort in the discus. Ludwig won with an effort of 99-feet 8-inches.

The 4×100-meter relay team of Sarah Loots, Kari Loger, Staci Tucker and Theresa Hirsch earned the top spot for their combined effort of 53.64, while the 4×200 relay foursome of Tucker, Loots, Megan Seibel and Megan Erickson showed to a second-place finish.

Seibel also turned in a pair of silver-medal efforts, scoring second in both the long jump and the triple jump. She also started with the baton for the 800-meter medley relay team, joining Lia Middlebrook, Jenny Tucker and Emily Johnson for a second-place final.

Loger was a part of both third-place finishes, scoring bronze in the 100-meter dash while leading off for the third-placed 4×400 relay team. That Packer pairing (Loger, Johnson, J.Tucker, Hirsch) earned third in a time of 1:58.13.

The Austin High girls' track squad is scheduled to host a triangular with Faribault and Rochester John Marshall today at Wescott Field. The Packer boys' team go to Faribault for a tri with JM. Both events start at 4:30 p.m.
