Three Wisconsin men were charged with disorderly conduct early Sunday at Holiday Inn of Austin.

According to an Austin Police Department report, officers were called to the business at 1:28 a.m. Sunday after Holiday Inn of Austin security personnel were unable to break-up a melee in the lobby area.

The individuals, whom were described as intoxicated, according to police reports, numbered no more than 10, but refused commands to stop the disturbance.

Chemical sprays were used and the trio of Wisconsin men, ages 25 and 26 detained and charged. The others walked away from the scene.

Cocaine found in truck

Austin Police Department officers were called to 809 10th Ave. SW Saturday night.

Neighbors complained of a loud party at the residence.

When officers arrived, they observed a 47 year old Austin male in a pickup truck flipping objects away from the driver's side where he sat. Upon investigation, officers found a small mirror and a rolled up dollar bill. A search of the man and another male companion revealed a quantity of cocaine, totaling 9.5 grams.

The cocaine was wrapped in individual bundles and the pair were charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell, according to police reports.

Reports of possible gang fight prove false

RACINE – The Mower County Sheriff's Department was called to the Deere Creek Speedway near Racine over the weekend.

According to Sheriff's Department reports, complaints from neighbors were received about loud noises at the racing season opener.

In addition, deputies also investigated reports of a possible fight between two rival gangs. The altercation never materialized, according to Sheriff's Department reports.

The information suggested the Valley Thugs of Spring Valley and the Master Players of Rochester were going to confront each other.
