If you in the mood to sow your cultural oats, this weekend is the right time to get out and take advantage of a few theater related items.

At 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and Sunday at 5 p.m., the LeRoy Community Center plays host to the Old Town Dinner Theater.

If you’re feeling particularly motivated to take it a step further, the Albert Lea Ascension Lutheran Church is hosting Minnesota Festival Theatre auditions for "The Sunshine Boys," "I Love a Piano" and "Guys and Dolls".

For the younger generation, the Austin Public Library is hosting its Saturday Serials Reading Club for fifth through eighth graders. The event starts at 10 a.m. and for information, call Maggie Snow at 433-2391, ext. 305.

Also, the Solafide Observatory is open to the public at 8 p.m. Saturday. For information, call Keith Snyder at 433-1903.
