It could soon cost a little more to try to sell land in Mower County.
The county board will discuss at Tuesday’s meeting a new fee for estimating property taxes before property sales.
The fee would apply when the assessor’s office estimates the price of property taxes if an owner sold a portion of his or her land, according to County Coordinator Craig Oscarson.
The finance committee will likely recommend a $30 to $50 fee, Oscarson said.
The county board starts with Human Services business at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by the regular meeting at about 9:30.
