Austin’s SPAMTOWN USA Festival includes an outdoors showing of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" at 9:45 tonight at the Bandshell Park, but Friday morning resumes activities with Family Day fun in the downtown area.

Austin’s SPAMTOWN USA Festival includes an outdoors showing of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" at 9:45 tonight at the Bandshell Park, but Friday morning resumes activities with Family Day fun in the downtown area. Here are some events to check out:
Yell out BINGO!
There are free BINGO games on stage from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Don’t you think they should call is SPAM-O?
Here her sing
That’s right, Miss Austin 2000 Taylor Carlson will take the stage at noon on Friday and perform until 12:30 p.m. See why she’s a local favorite performer. And then Miss Austin 2001 Amber Dolphin takes the stage at 3 p.m. to perform.
Fun and games
Head to the downtown section from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday for all kinds of family fun, including games, mini-train rides, free balloons, face painting, a petting zoo, SPAM Mini Golf, the Matchbox Theatre at the Paramount, and much more. The kids won’t be bored and parents will find something to do, too.
Dance to the music
The SPAMTOWN USA Festival Street Dance kicks off at 8 p.m. Friday and includes three bands on two stages. Reconstruction, the Barry Rush Reunion Band and the Killer Hayseeds will perform for those willing to dance a little in the streets of downtown Austin. The music continues until midnight and the cost is $5; children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.
