Sumner Elementary School has its first sock hop. Students at Sumner stayed an extra hour on Thursday to party down. About 500 students ate popcorn and danced to Sound Tronics Productions music. The DJ was the custodian at Sumner, Mr. Morgan. Mrs. Kroc, the supervisor of the student council and the organizer of the sock hop, dances with second-grader Alex Austin.
